Starting Problem. Need help asap please
K well recently I have been having a starting problem with my car. Its a 96 ls with a jdm type R swap. Well a couple a weeks ago I took about a 3 hour trip and all was fine. Parked it over night and bam. Wont start. It would crank but not start. So I ended up towing it back to a shop and they said they couldnt find anything wrong with it except I flooded it. They told me if it happen again maybe one of the injectors are getting stuck. Well It happend again so I replaced them. But now Im still having problems but it only seems to be in the moring after sitting all night. I hear the pump priming, I know Im getting fuel and spark. What else could it be>? Sometimes thoughIll start it but it wont crank and just buzz. This is my daily and I work every day so this is getting really annoying. Please let me know if you have any ideas.
My buddy had a problem like that. He had spark but I thought maybe he was getting a weak spark. I told him to get plugs, wires, cap, rotor. and he hasn't had any problems after that. idk imo try that.
First thing I would check for is spark, [no spark would "flood" the engine].
If spark is the issue, I would test the ICU and the coil, just replacing parts is an expensive way to diagnose a problem, although new plugs, leads, cap and rotor on an older engine can't hurt. 94

But if you read, he said the shop told him nothing was wrong. so either the shop is full of sh@t or it was starting fine when they got it.
Obviously OP does have a problem, a fuel injected engine that floods has a problem with the injectors, the ECU/ECM or spark, spark is the easiest to check for. 94

I dont think It would be the starter because it does turn over. Im going to try new wires tonight.
I checked the cap and rotor and they look fine. Hopefullly its just the wires.
And also I had the car for years so I know the swap its self is fine. I havent had any problems before this with starting and I have had it for 5 years now.

If so check for spark, plug the spark plug back into the lead, ground the plug and have someone crank the engine while you look for spark on the plug. 94
Check your cold cranking amps with electric upgrades it sometimes requires more juice to jump off, I got a 850 cca battery and it clicks on. lol
I would check your wires, spark plugs, and distributor... I had the same problem and it turned out to be the distributor but it wasnt bad it just need to be adjusted.
