My car was running fine, I swapped it into my hatch about a month ago. I drove home from school, no problems, and I went to take it into my garage 20 min later and it wont start. The battery is fully charged, I JUST put in new spark plugs, all the wires are connected to where they need to go, I have no idea whats going on. I'm going to look into it further tomorrow morning but if anyone has an idea of what it might be PLEASE let me know.

What kind of no-start problem is this? Does the starter fail to crank the engine with the key in ON(III)? Or does the engine crank but won't start? For the latter, does the fuel pump prime? Is there spark at all four plugs?

Fuel pump primes, the engine cranks but it wont start. I'm going to check for spark and everything else later today so I'll let you guys know whats up.

^ that pretty much guarantees you lost spark.

Since you said you just changed the spark plugs, I have a hunch one or more of the plug wires wasn't fully contacted and the coil voltage was spiking, causing it to prematurely fail.

Okay, the fuel pump wasn't priming, so I got a new one and installed it. I KNOW I put it in correctly, but it still isn't priming and my car wont start. Any ideas would be great I have to go to work in 3 hours so I'm kinda stressin out

I just checked it and re-soldered some terminals, I'm about to put it back in so I'll let you guys know whats up

Re-soldered the main relay, and the fuel pump is STILL not priming, fml

Is the relay clicking when you turn the key. Try turning the key on and off until you hear the pump prime. Also take a voltmeter and test the main relay plug for 12v. Or test it at the pump for 12v. If it is not there it might be in the switch itself (terminals not making contact). I was stuck in a gas station for bout 20 min one day because the main relay would not work, so i played with it until it started.

I don't hear it click, I just ordered a new one so it's not too big of a deal. but I'll play around with it some more

Start by giving some details and background on the car.

yeah you should check spark also.
check to see maybe the fuses went out for the main relay or ecu

I checked the fusesand they're all good under the hood . I haven't checked for spark yet because my fuel pump wont even prime. what kind of background do you need? It's a 95 hatch with a jdm b18b, no mods except for suspension.

So my main relay isn't clicking and my fuel pump still wont prime. I got a new relay from a buddy of mine but it still wont do anything. I replaced the fuel pump too, any ideas of what might be wrong?

No spark =/ still nothing, my internet's been down for a couple days so I haven't been able to get on here or do research. I'm thinking it's a burnt out wire, or something with my distributor. Any ideas?

I know this is probably a dumb question but, did you check the two wires that go to the thermostat housing? They are the ground wires for the ECU and the fuel pump. At least they are for the B16. I also had no spark or fuel prime when i put my newer B16 in my car and had to trouble shoot for about ten min before i noticed them being off. I put them in place and it fired right up. Other than that i am stumped.

I've made that mistake before I double checked, and cleaned them off, still nothing. I actually have the day off tomorrow (first time in like 3 weeks) So I hope I'll get a better idea of whats going on in there, I'll make some updates tomorrow definitely but any advice would be MUCH APPRECIATED

get a volt meter and check continuity on the ground wire on the main relay and check it for voltage, pull out the helms manual to show what wire you need to look at for power and ground. Check ground continuity for the thermostat ground wire to the ecu. Also look up on how to check if your distributor has taken a dump, check the icm and ignitor. All in helms manual, don't know where to get it go to hondahookup.com and download one. Time to step up your diagnose skills.

I downloaded it ^ my car drove fine last night untill I had to go home from work, now it's sitting in a parking lot, hopefully it doesn't get towed but I'm sure I'll figure this one out, thanks again for the manual download!

And just because you resoldered the main relay, that doesn't always fix the main relay. Have you swapped in a known good main relay? And checked voltage as stated above?

Yeah, I got a new relay but it only works half the time. The manual says something about an inertia switch, I did some research but it all says civics don't have them, i couldn't find one on my car, does anyone else have one of these?

I checked for voltage and continuity tonight and it's all good, except for my relay. anyone know where I can order an OEM main relay for a 95 civic hatch?

yea main relay or \.......wiring from the pump some kinda connection problem since u said it randomly turned on one time maybe jus sayin dk! sumthin to look into lol
