Default starting problem

okay 1st off i had a 95 integra ls... its a 5spd.. i was outside playing music for approx 30mins with the car off... the car always started up great and whatnot.. so yea i went in and started the car.. all i heard was a clicking sound from the starter.. click click click click.. what the hell?. the domelight was looking kinda dim though.. but honks and hibeam still function though. how the hell the starter take a **** on me.. so i was like oh now.. let me try jump starting it. nobody had a jumper cable and ****.. and when i finally found one... i hooked it up wrong it started to catch on fire. **** burn my ****** hands..

than i was like wait a min this car is a stick.. so i just roll it down.. had the car in the on position and pop clutch out in 1st.. car started.. i was so happy..

i got home.. turn the car off. it started no problem..... than i was like wait probably the flywheel is still spinning. so lemme give it some more time. i tried again and it started up with no problem..

MY QUESTION IS IS THE BATTERY IS LOW WILL IT GIVE THE CLICK CLICK SOUND INDICATING THAT ITS NOT ENUFF JUICE TO TURN THE STARTER ON?

WHAT DOES THE CLICK CLICK SOUND MEAN? DOES IT MEAN THE STARTER IS GOOD..

LEMME KNOW GUYS THANKS

Yep, a low battery will make a click, click, click. But, so will poor connections at the battery or starter. How old and what type is the battery? You should have it tested for free at one of the auto chains.

Maybe you left the dome light on or something and drained your battery. In which case it should be fine now.

If you have a big system your battery could be drained in 30 minutes. So I think that is probaly your problem, the battery is only charged with the engine running.
