Ok when im idleing i hear this horrible squeeling sound coming from my engine bay. I opened the hood and it seems to be coming from the belt area but im not quite sure what to look for. Could someone please point me in the right direction on what this may be how i could fix it, and if i should do this myself or take it to the shop? Also if it is an easy do it yourself fix anyone have instructions??? thx

ur belts have to be replaced if not ur timing belt... mine does the same and mine isnt the timing belt but one of the other smaller belts... take it to a shop if u dont know how to change them....

 

How long have you had the belts on the car? If they were recently insatlled they may just need to be adjusted but if they are old then replace them.
