whining noise, coming from timing belt area.

Default whining noise, coming from timing belt area.

well today i changed my headgasket, i set everything tdc then took the head of changed the gasket put everything back on right did the tension with the timing belt, now its whining.. but when its fully warmed up it makes this humming noise like the belt is rubbing agaisnt something on, but when i drove it it makes a loud supercharger noise. help?

Do you have AC or PS? If so check those belts along with the alt. belt. See if you could change the pitch of the sound when you rev the motor. It might be that the tensioner is on to tight.

yah try loosening the timing belt a little bit might be to tight like luserkid said

it is your timing belt making the noise. it will not hurt it at all.

fixed it, re-adjusted the timing belt, it was wayyyyy to tight, took me a while to get it correct, finally got i on the 3-4th try
