Default Spring and shock installation

I have a set of H&R OE springs I'm mounting on OE spec struts.
My question, beyond the standard spring compressor tool is there any other way to get the new hardware together?

I rented a spring(strut) compressor from local store and it is rather bulky for this application. It barely fits between the unloaded springs(with lots of wiggling and scuffing up the new hardware) and I fear once I load them up they won't come out. I was thinking about taking it to a garage and have somebody simply compress them for me, but I'd rather not spend the money if I don't have to.

I have always just used the rented compressor tool kit from autozne. It works, you just have to wrangle with it a bit to get it off.

Thanks, I've resolved the issue, I just have to wait until tomorrow to do it.
So impatient, I want to do this right now, lol.

My co-worker has a slimmer design of the same tool that will work.
