I bought a 94 dc4. The speedometer doesnt read how fast im going. But the rpms do show. Does anyone know what the problem might be? is it a speedo cable? speedo sensor? or just a failure in the speedo cluster? PLease someone help i have a repair order due in like 2 weeks!

 

Check the speed sensor. Usually it is just corrosion built up on the connection. Just unplug it and clean it if it is dirty.

 

Thats a bet ima try that and see what happens... BTW i have a gsr tranny im about to put in next week with a speedo sensor on it soo hopefully that works.

i dropped in a gsr hydro tranny and its fix my speedometer... def was the speed senor!!! and yay no check engine light!!!!!
