Speaker size?
Yes, you are right, it is 6.5 all around. But, if you are planning on getting speakers/components sets with large magnets, you might wanna think about getting 5.25 speakers. To tell you the truth, you really wouldnt hear a difference between the two speakers. But, if you get the 5.25 inch speakers, you need to make yourself a baffle, or you can buy one in the store.
Or, if you don't want to spend the money, you can cut the plastic baskets that come stock so that there's enough clearance in the back for the magnets. A saw works fine. BTW, I'm using 6.5" speakers (Infinity Kappa 62.1i's) for my front's and they fit fine. Just make sure to check the clearances.
Or..... if you don't want to take a hack saw to your basket, you can build a riser to g in between the door and the speaker. I used 3/4" MDF, and it works great. Those plastic baskets, though they make for a really shallow mounting depth, they do help keep water and debris off the back of the speaker.
