Some LS-Vtec Questions...
I was just wondering where you guys purchased a thinner than stock headgasket?I heard about this raising the compression,on c-speedraing.I almost got too about a .4 increase in compression with just the headgasket swap.I know it retards your timing, but would it be that much where you couldnt fix it because of the distributor timing? Also I was just looking at someone else's build and they said they bought a gsr cable throttle? Is this necessary or can i re-use my ls one?Can i also reuse my stock ls injectors and everything on the intake manifold?Thank You
Also my vtec solenoid is cut.Where the plug is...its just a green wire hanging. And the oil pressure connector seems too be broken.Anyone know if i can rebuild it?Just hardwire the vtec wire too the green wire on the solenoid, maybe replace the pressure switch?
yes, you can re-use the LS injectors.. its actually better that you do.. all b-series injectors flow at about 240cc. you can also use LS fuel rail and throttle body etc.. you do however, need to change over to a b-series VTEC intake manifold (b18c or b16a). i am planning on doing LS/VTEC myself and have researched for months now on what to do and what not to do. so any questions, i should have an answer for ya..
...also, a thinner headgasket will raise compression because it will lower your overall height of the cylinder head.. and as far as your VTEC solenoid, id probably search for another..
..jesus i need to put this all in one post haha, another thing on your headgasket question, it will retard your timing slightly.. but that is nothing a set of cam gears and a dyno cant take care of as far as i know..
