Skunk2 vs Tein basic
I have the tein basic on my 94 intega and man its the best thing to do, my call rides so smooth. Dont go for the skunk2, if you want your money worth get tein's!!!!!!!!!

i dont understand what you're trying to say, i just told u that it is a good idea to get them.....whats the problem??? if you're ordering a coilover kit, it is height adjustable and any any time you alter a rides height, your camber will be effected! stock acura camber plates arent really adjustable....look into a omnipower or skunk2 front camber kit....it replaces the whole control arm

and just for the record, skunk2 makes great suspension components. its just that tein companly only focus's on suspension unlike skunk2 where they focus on different areas of a car

The tein SS's aren't fully height adjustable... meaning if you set your height either too high or too low it will effect your initial spring rate. I am guessing the same for the basic also. Don't ask me at what points though, I have no clue.Tein Flexes are much better supposedly but also that much more expensive.

TB coils sucks big time </TD></TR></TABLE>
my friend bought the skunk2 coilovers, and he got rid of them within the first month, he said they were a waste of money. also i heard that the skunk2 cams werent good either, i may be wrong. anyone running them right now, have any opinions?

Nothing wrong with Skunk2 Cams, there are better cams out there though. My buddy has the Skunk2 coilovers, Its very stiff and rebounds quick, I like it feels very 'sporty' but as a smooth ride, its not really smooth. Tein Basic are a little too bouncy for me though. I went with struts/springs instead of coilovers, alot less bounce. Skunk2 pro series camber kit ftw
Yah my friend has skunk2's on his wrx wagon and he's liking them so far. But he also dosnt have teins to compare tham too. I mean for ur already paying at least like 7 bills. So 160$ to ensure ur getting a good product isn't much. Just go with ur gut man and if u don't like what u pick u can always sell them
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Speed94 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">That what I thought...its only $160 price difference between the two. Cheapest I found Tein's were $800 shipped and for Skunk2's $640 shipped. My friend has the Skunk2's, but has never had Teins. He loves them, but has nothing to compare them too</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yah my friend slapped some skunk2's on his WRX wagon and he likes them so far. But he can't compare them to tein's. Just go with your gut and keep buying and selling until your happy. Good luck bro

same here.
also to the OP, you cant get camber plates for an integra. they are only made for mcpherson(sp) strut cars. make sure you get an alignment and keep you toe in check and you wont need a camber kit. Toe kills your tires, not camber.

They do make plenty of camber kits for an Integra. Camber plates are what DoctorGSR made reference to. As DoctorGSR stated, camber plates are for McPherson strut cars.

I have the Skunk2's on my car have for about 2 years. Worst product I have ever purchased for my car hands down. Only reason they are still on there is because the cars has been sitting for a while. I would highly advise against buying Skunk2, it it the last product I will ever buy from them.

I'm pretty sure they're referring to the new Skunk2 full coilovers. They just came out not to long ago. You're talking about the sleeves, which most people would agree are crap.

So what you're saying is 2 things...1. my friends civic is different suspension wise then our cars, and 2. I have to spend more money on an entire kit?
So i guess now my question is which "kit" is the best for the money? I searched camber kit on here and came up with nothing

you really dont need a camber kit. skunk 2 and omni both make kits that replace the whole upper a-arm. ignalls makes one that just replaces the ball joint. so you could look into those if you really want one.
honestly, just get an alignment and rotate your tires frequently and you wont need a camber kit. i regret spending $170 on mine.

i just hope u realized most people who have posted in here have no idea about the spring rates between those two, and most people are just saying tein because of the name
i'd consider d2 and omni

Tein Basic, or SS for DC Integra = 8k front 6k rear.
Skunk2 = 8k front 6k rear.
BTW I had Tein RS with custom springs rates prior to my having the SS. I am now about to go GC/Koni with custom rates.
