my friend gave me some header for my car. its a stainless steal 4-2-1 header. i dont know the brand but it has a 2.25 collector. will i see ANY gains from it? He ran this header for a lil while on his gsr. The welds look good and the yhave been holding up fine so thats not an issue. the stock header is the most restricted part of my setup right now but i'm wonderin if i will see anything from this header. Couldn't hurt? my setup is ls/vtec with jdm itr pistons, b16 cams, aem short ram intake, pnp head and intake manifold, comptech catback. and all the other lil build up goodies. should i just throw it on for now? I'm about to buy skunks stage 1s soon. Thanks

 

there aren't any headers that have a 2.25" collector as far as i know, but its probably worth installing if you're running your stock header. did he just give it to you?

yeah when he first got his car i gave him some parts i just had laying around in my garage so he was just returning the favor. Do you think i wil see any gains?

 

its very possible, but you'll need a high flow cat or test pipe if you want to maximize those gains. the stock cat is just as restrictive as the stock header is...
