Default shiftlinkage hole stripped out

So the hole for the bolt that holds the bar for the shiftlinkage to the tranny is stripped, what can i do to fix that? is it fixable with the tranny in the car?

Are you talking about the shift change rod (connected to the shifter itself and moves) or the stationary torque rod (holds the shifter)? The change rod connects with a spring pin, aka b!tch pin. The torque rod has a bushing and a bolt running through it into the tranny bellhousing.
