Has this happened to anyone else???

When shifting from 2 - 3, there seems to be a bump as it goes into 3rd. No grinding sound is being made, just a bump.

Is this normal

car has 19k on it

 

what do you mean by a bump? Does it feel like the car hits a bump? Or is it something you feel in the shifter? clarify please

 

I think I know what you mean. I'm having the same issue with my car going into first from a dead stop. However, it's very sporadic. I ust seems like a little notch is blocking you from getting into gear right? All I do is rerelease and depress the clutch one more time... It sucks though, makes the person in back of you think you can't drive....

Honda shifters are kinda "notchy-feeling" (if that's what you mean). Also, if this is your first car that uses a direct mechanical linkage to the gearbox....you're going to feel a lot more feedback than with cable actuated shifters. HTH...?
