so i think i may have a worn steering gear but i really have no idea, for the past 6 months or so my power steering has been off and on, mostly off but it didnt bother me too much cuz it wasnt too hard to turn, then yesterday i was pulling into my parking lot and my steering felt very strange all of a sudden, like absolutly no power when i crank left and off and on power when i turn right, it feels very wierd while cranking right, it will be extremely easy for a second and then hard (back and forth) with clicking in the column somewhere, but when i turn left, its just hard with no clicking... i dont really have any experience with steering problems so any insight would be apreciated.
