Icon3 rev problem

ok so i just droped my engine in yesterday, started it up and it revs striaght to 6k then back down and up etc.. i checked everything ten times, everytings plugged in. Engine drove fine before. it's a 1998 b18b1 in a 1992 civic hatch. The throttle cable is completly lose and it does the same things. any ideas? Please help

It's a vac leak. I had just did a H22A swap in a hatch right after we started the motor the RPMs jumped strait to 7k. It turned out that we had forgotten to replace the intake manifold gasket . So quick fix with hondata gasket... spray some carburetor cleaner where your gaskets are and if there is a leak your rpms will jump but have a partner with you when you do this so the car can be turned of before anything is damaged..

okay thanks alot. I heard about spraying that and was going to try it out. I'll let you all know if it worked or not. I really dont wanna have to take the intake manifold back off lol
