Z809 is the size bearing, do a search on google and I am sure you will find a bearing supply house. You might have to figure out the ID incase the make different size ID's with the same OD.

Nope, those bearings are slightly larger than skate bearings. I have tried this.
OP: try to pry off the bearing cover, take out the "ring" that holds in the BBs and clean it out w/ WD40 or Tri-flo, then put it all back together.

It is hard to pull a metal shied off the bearing, rubber seals are pretty easy.
You could try to run a little PB or WD40 and see if you can get the bearings to break fee. Even if you do they will allways feel a bit rough. I have rebuilt many bearings and they are never as good as new, expiclly if you have run the dry for a while.

Yep usually it bends them. It's worth a try though, especially since the OP is going to throw the old bearing away anyway.

Re: replacing bearing in skunk 2 shifter
I would replace the ball bearings and that little thing that holds the ***** basically rebuild the bearing and stick a Phillips head in the middle and pry off the bearing by pushing down on the screwdriver
