Removable ECU?
some one mentioned this on another forum about "repinning the ECU"
re-pin the ECU wiring harness and make a plug-in adapter to pin it back to normal; take THIS with you everywhere (you can take the ECU with you too, or hide it in the car)...if a theif tries to plug in his ECU (they do bring them along sometimes) or your own, he may fry the ECU...but your car is safe. You just need to plug-in that adapter each time. You can re-locate all of this into the glove-box. ----> there is also a company which will do this wiring harness for you (about $125 I think)... Keep in mind any engine management upgrades you may have in the future (wiring purposes)
can some of you explain this I dont get it. thanks

sounds like an adaptor that you use to plug in your ecu...then w/o the adaptor, a theif plugs in their own adaptor, and the wires are different and the car doesnt work...
ppl used to take their own ecus out, so theives would bring their own..
