after installin a system in my car..My remote start doesnt work when i press the button the car makes this sound where it sounded like the car has already been started but someone twisted the key again..and it wouldnt start..unless i use the key..it also makes a clickin' sound..
is there a switch inside the car where you can turn off the remote start? the wire on mine came off and i had to solder it back on & that did the trick. if you did it yourself just check the wiring since the "system" might have vibrated something loose or something might have been pulled while running wires..

What brand is your remote start?
I installed remote starters for 3 years and never had one that would crank the starter and make it make that horrible screeching noise your talking about, never once. The only thing I can come up with is that maybe the tach sensing wire has become disconnected. The tach wires senses the moment when the car is actually running and tells the brain to stop cranking the starter. But that doesn't make sense that the starter will make the screeching sound when the car isn't even running to begin with. The clicking noise you hear is the remote starters relays firing up ignition and accesory wires and whatever other items need power before the car can start. The last one to power up is the starter wire.
The tach wire is located under the hood 99% of the time. Occasionally tach can be found in the car in a convenient spot to get to, but more than likely they went under the hood to get tach. On a DEI system it is a purple wire with a white stripe. If its under the hood, it could be going to the distributor or the main ECU harness. Check these locations and see if you pulled it out of its connector accidentally while you were running your power wire for the system...just a thought.
