I have a b18C1, and when I had my P72 in there I was redlining at 8500. Now I have a P30 with S100 and I redline at 9000. But I dont know why you are redlning low. Bump for some help.

sounds like you have a timing problem in which the ecu is not letting the motor rev past 7300 to keep you from damaging the motor

unless you have an ls ecu in your car which has a redline of around 7300 as well

yes, and the crank timing because you may have jumped a tooth on the timing belt

Is it hitting the rev limiter at that RPM? (The rev limiter caused the engine to cut in and out.) Or will it just not rev beyond 7200RPM due to lack of power?

I dont think his car would start let alone run if it skiped a tooth and if it did run it wouldnt get that high up in the rpm range.

Depending on the car some could, but i doubt your friend skiped a tooth then reved to 7300 tho did he?

no because he was driving a single cam that couldnt rev that high

im just giving possibilities of what could be wrong, im saying to check timing because it could be off due to one thing or another
