Re: Rebuilding my stolen DC
I got all the rust removed from my shift linkage tonight, started painting it, and got my cat modified to fit my exhaust for inspection. I can't upload pics for some reason so I'll try later. I need a few parts so I'll order them when I go to work on thursday.

Re: Rebuilding my stolen DC
Well my photobucket finally started working again so here's some boring shots of my shift linkage.
And the modified cat. The bolts that came with the exhaust are huge and this is only temporary to pass inspection, so bear with it.

Re: Rebuilding my stolen DC
i love italian food.
Did a little tonight but also ran into a little problem. Bought some stuff for the shift linkage:
Now the bad news, it looks like my shift linkage got bent somewhere along the way. Tomorrow I'm going to put the jack under it and bend it up a little
Also got my evap valve
And fittings for the the block for my breather
And finally, not essential to the build, but music is always good

Re: Rebuilding my stolen DC
I found that my shift linkage was in fact very bent. I ordered a new linkage. It's supposed to be by Avid, not sure if it's real or not but it should do the job. Here's my old one sitting next to the new, you can see the bend.
and the linkage in place. I bought all new hardware and bushings for the shifter.
bitch pin time, you may not see any posts for a few months...

Build is looking good and it's nice that your doing it right and paying attention to detail. I'm assuming your going obd1 when you tune. If so you don't need any of the evap system and it won't throw a code with obd1.

Re: Rebuilding my stolen DC
i truely feel your pain man i really do, my 95dc was stolen and recovered i just got lucky that for some reason they couldn't get my motor out when my car was stolen but it was all stock. Besides the bolt on stuff that were on my dc when it was stolen. but ive prevailed and now i have the last few touches on my all motor beast . ive been reading your posts for months and i am happy to see that when some people tell us to just get ur insurance check and move on and take it as a loss you just dont. something inside of us just tell us when we get knocked back or down to get up and do it bigger and better . good build man and just remember slow n steady just to hear her roar!
