Default Rattle at idle

I took my car to a tire shop and when I got it back I hear a light rattle only at idle. I notice it's more pronounced when the A/C is on. It's easier to hear the rattle from inside the car then under the hood, and it sounds like it's coming from underneath - maybe closer to the passenger side.

Any ideas what it could be? I'd like to know soon so I can go back to the tire shop and rage if need be.

Hey, I have the same problem. When idling, it kinda sounds like I have some racing cams....lumpy. Except the "lumps" are rattles. And it only happens when the engine is heated up. When the engine is cold, idle is fine. Anybody have any ideas?!

This sucks...

It's probably the typical heat shield rattle. Annoying, isn't it!?!

Definitely not the heat shields. Took 'em all off.

Yeah, I took my heat shield off when I installed my header. If anyone has any ideas, that would be great.

hey,

my friend also has this problem after i installed his headders.
i also no what causes this rattle at a certian RPM.

first when you or someone else intalled youre headders did they put the gasket from the old exhaust manifold and trasfer it to the new headders??? i pretty sure they didnt, like i did. the gasket im talkin about it located jus before the catalytic converter. if there is no gasket there then the headder and catalytic is hitting eachother and making that sound, nothing really bad, on my friend car, that rattle + leak made his car faster, i dont no why, but thats what he told me. the rattle you are hearing may not be what my friend is hearing, but maybe its the gasket that wasnt placed in the headder when it was installed. hope i was a help.

I appreciate your help. Unfortunately, I installed the header about six months ago and there was no sound. It just started a couple days ago after I let these fools work on my car. I think I'm going to have to get under it to try to locate the rattle source. I hope nothing's broken
