Well, sadly I happened to have bought a 97 LS last fall, and I umm bought an "automatic". I've been a big fan of the import scene since I was 16. Well, the questions are, do you guys think it's worth for me to maybe supe my ride up a bit, enginewise, without going force inducted?? Cuz, I've already got an AEM intake and pulleys already. What do you guys think of me just shooting up nitrous? Can my transmission handle it? Ohh and the last question was, has anyone heard of chipping or reprogramming an "auto" ECU from an LS???? Any answers... opinions appreciated? And, to answer ahead of time for those who wonder why I got an auto instead of a Manual, I couldn't drive manual back then.

 

look into tranny swap, there was a guy in my old club who did it with great succes. Or just keep on with your automatic. As for your tranny handling nitrous, shouldnt be a problem but remember it is an automatic and wasnt built for abuse. There generally pretty stout. Have fun!

 

costly but get rid of the auto if you have the bucks it will be like getting a whole new car you will love it again, good luck
