quick FI + NOS question...
can you use a turbo and nitrous??...i assume yes...i want to go really low, like 7 psi and a 50 shot...is that alright??..i dont see why not but i am definitely no expert...thanks for the help...also, do you think that could get me into the 13's?? with a b18c1 ???
You obviously don't know much about turbo and nitrous... so I'll ask you some questions.
1. How much money do you have?
2. What are your END goals for your car?
3. Do you have another car you can use if/when your car is out of comission
The setup you want is unecessary to start, 13's are possible with JUST the turbo and good driving skills, however you will need REAL fuel management and serious tuning if you plan on keeping your motor stock.
Your basically looking at at least $3000 but definatly more...

Your looking at way over three grand. Think of it this way.....NOS reccomends no more than a 75 shot on a stock block. Greddy sells their kits at what? 6psi stock? Your going an extra psi over....No problem... But when you add that extra stress of a turbo, onto a 50 shot....(only 15 under the max), your going to have serious troubles. Like he said above, you better have a beater. And alot of money, and a lot of time. Remember, you arent just buying a turbo kit, and a NOS kit. You will want I/H/E, a new clutch, flywheel, and an LSD to get the power to the ground. You will want wider tires, with better compound. You will need new injectors, regulator, and pump. You may end up snapping a drive shaft. You will need a ver good tuning device. I dont think a VAFC will do the trick here. Your looking at a Hondata system. I belive they quote a grand for the system, and instalation...To just get started. Then you have to get it tuned. About 100 bucks an hour on the dyno. This is just the begining. You will run into problems here and there.... It all adds up, really quick. And frankly, I dont think you have the time or money. Hardly anyone does.

a turbo is your "header" and "intake" hehe.Yea we're not trying to tear you down here man, just want you to understand the complete and utter blackhole that is turbo and the money that gets thrown into it.
Its nothing like just putting a NEW CAI on your car, it takes lots of time, money, and know-how.
Yea not to rain on your parade but you don't need I/H with a turbo

on me. And yeah, Blackhole is a very good term for a turbo and nitrous system. One guy around here said "racing is the best disposal of money there is" or something to that effect.gmoore
If you DO have the money, I highly suggest:
1) lowering the CR
2) Get some nice rods
3) Balance the bottom end
4) Don't run nitrous at all.... I know it's beneficial to a turbo motor but WHY? You are already quick enough.
