I bought a header from a friend (no name brand, ebay special i think), he took it off of his car because it was too low. It is a 4-1 header but my question is, I have a 2001 GSR and he took it off of his 1996 LS. Will it fit on fine???

If his car is indeed a '94 LS, and he had purchased the correct header for it, then it will bolt right up to your '01 GS-R.

 

yea its between a 94-97 LS and he bolted on there but only for about 20 miles and he says it did fine so i wasnt sure if it would bolt on mine fine or not

 

for what i've heard pretty much all header/cat/exhaust for intergras 94+ should fit for each other except for 94-99 gs-r's

 

alright thanks, found out that the other integra guy i bought it from is a 96 but shouldnt make any difference, if you still know the answer to my question post it. thanks

I am suprised by this info. Intake manifolds are not interchangeable between the ls and gsr, so i am suprised that the exhaust manifold is interchangeable. Anyone else back Padawans info up?

The Only difference in the exhaust manifolds is length on the bottom.
They all bolt up the same.

 

The only ones that are different are the 94-99 GSR's.

 

i would think thier the same but then

i dont think theyd fit, and if its a tr header it definitly wont fit; unless it has new brackets or something

 

There is no difference in bolt pattern, only in length.

 

Exactly. The legnth difference is caused by the O2 Sensor Bung. in the 94-99 GS-R, BOTH O2 sensors screw into the CAT. The rest all have the bung BEFORE the flange for the Cat.

For a quick example, check out Comptech's website and you'll discover that the headers for the '00-'01 GS-R, the '97-'01 ITR, and the '94-'01 LS, RS, GS all share the same part number.

As I stated earlier, they're completely interchangeable.

intake manifolds are not interchageble between an ls and a gsr. you can take a type-r manifold and put it on a b16 though i can back all of this up

 

should fit no problem

haha yea im am only wondering about exhaust manifolds, nothing about intake manifolds
