Are you sure you just can't feel it? If its not engaging you either have a wiring problem or something in your vtec oil system/ soli.

Oh and BTW (vtec)!!! V-tech is a phone, you'll get flamed for that

Check your oil level, insufficient oil pressure will keep the vtec from engaging.

VTEC would still engage if your secondaries didn't open. In fact, VTEC in a GSR ALWAYS engages before the secondaries open. You really aren't supposed to feel the crossover, although it usually can be heard because the larger cam profiles suddenly are pulling in a lot more air and expelling more gasses.

Also, V-Tech is a phone, and there is no such thing as V-TEC. VTEC is Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control. It is just oil pressure regulating whether or not the middle lobe of the camshaft is used. The crossover from gas-saving mode to gas saving mode with a little kick shouldn't be felt. That means that your oil pressure is bad (too low I believe). The effects can be felt because you will be in your powerband and will be accelerating a little quicker.

Thanks for the useful info.

If your car is stock or fairly close to stock it isnt going to be very noticeable. I really didnt notice a whole lot until I/H/E where installed.
