Are you talking about putting them in a B18C1? FYI, 00-01 ITR cams are the same as CTR cams.

Yes. Youll make power. Not as much as with tuning - but you know that.
Furthermore, the "VS" and "ret" dont really give you power per se, they just allow you to rev higher - and unless you have an ecu, you dont really need those.

I think the exhaust cams are the same and the CTR intake cam is a little more aggressive.

Correction: CTR Intake and Exhaust Cams are the exact same as 00-01 ITR Intake and Exhaust Cams.

I do know the facts. Maybe you should read before you quote something. The JDM ITR cam specs you pulled are '98 specs. The 00&01 specs have the extra 3 degrees of duration, which make up the CTR cams.

i have ctr cams in my b16 with no other mod besides a $20 dollar e bay intake. everything else in my engine is stock. stock piping stock muffler stock header.
after i put them in i can only feel a slight increase in power when i bring it to red line. i also think there is a lost in mid range. to really tell you the truth i dont realy feel mush of a difference. i need other mods to help the cams and i need to raise the vtec.

Don't count on much of a power increase without tuning, I didn't get any. Book the dyno time now

IMO, when upgrading cams I say don't bother with OEM spec stuff because its 'OEM' and is obviously not going to be much more aggressive than stock b16\b18c cams. I say minimum go with skunk2 I's.

People are making good power with ITR cams. Some at 200 peak and good powerband. It's not just the cams that are holding some people back. Of course you need plenty of tuning and other work done to the motor to achieve those #'s on ITR cams.

Here is a link to one in particular.

I've never seen anyone try to "extract" power out of GS-R/B16 cams, though. That would be interesting to see. But with those cams it would seem better to "tune" them for the mid-range rather than peak power.

You are right, they can make decent power. It all depends on what you're aiming for I guess. When I personally do cams, I'm going skunk2 stage I minimum
