Question about buying engine
I've been looking around at all the sites, but no one seems to have 01 USDM engines In Cali you need an engine of the same year or newer, and my Teg is an 01. I have 150,000 iles on it and was thinking of having it rebuilt, but now I think a newer engine may be better. Anyone know a place or price range.
If your looking for a usdm motor around that year its hard to find your better of getting a jdm motor. Besides it doesn't matter what year the engine is as long as it comes with the car. Smog techs hardly check the year of the motor as long it belongs to that model and make of the car. JDM motors also have a way lower milage than usdm motors you might want to try it out.

Well if one engine that's out of a 01 that says B18C on it. and out of a 98 that says B18C on it I doubt they'll think something's up.

What happens when they dont see the VIN # on the tranny or bottom of the Block? California can be very strict.
