Starting always takes a bit longer when the fuel is low...this is normal. Not sure about the cold weather thing.

it was -15 in alex today and it took my car a while to get chugging too....i always try to keep my car above a half tank when it's really cold out, also, it's a good idea to put a bottle of iso-heet in when it's really cold out and it sits outside overnight....keeps gas lines from freezing and the heet will burn the water out too...

winter sux!!!!

What weight motor oil are you using in that minus 15 degree weather? Just thought I'd ask. Also, turn the key to the "on" position before you crank it all the way. This will allow the fuel pump to go ahead and wake up, so to speak, and begin delivering fuel. Wait a couple of seconds and then try to crank. It should help. My car does this on cold days as well. It's perfectly normal as was said above.

5w-30

i don't really dare to go any lighter w/ 85,000 miles and the way i drive

i let it warm up for about 10 mins before even touching the gas

i do put my key to "On" for a couple of secs to let the fuel pump "wake up", it seems to help a little bit....

Cool. I just wondered about the oil. I use 10W-30, but I live in NC, where it rarely gets colder than the 20's and is usually in the low 40's to high 50's all winter. I knew though, that the 5W-30 was better in colder temps. Thanks.
