Q16 and COLD weather.....questions
Ive got a quick question for the masses. Had my car down at the Vegas IFO in Dec. and put it on trailer and sent it home to sit for a couple of weeks in the 15-30 degree weather. (drained the water and put coolant in for storage..) anyway, I started the car up and drove it down the block and it was having some serious sputtering issues, checked spark and that was good, seemed like it was starving for fuel.....
I suspect that maybe the injectors might be plugged or some issue with the Q16 getting cold and throwing off the tune...but not really sure???? pumps are working fine and fuel pressure is holding at 65...

Re: Q16 and COLD weather.....questions
what you are saying may be possible but if the Q16 isn't stored in an air tight container it will go bad and if it sits in a gas tank for more than 2 days it will also go bad. the oxygen in the fuel dies out and the fuel turns to push water lol

Re: Q16 and COLD weather.....questions
Indub has been known to leave Q in his car for at least a month or two and it always runs fine. I typically drain the Q out of my car and put it back in the can after events, just to be safe..
I'm not sure I'd call it crap, but nonvtecallmotor seems to know everything without any real data, so you can believe him if you want.

Wow, you're a great addition to this forum. What am I hear for? Obviously not to share my expansive vulgar vocabulary, perhaps it is to share my experiences and further the growth of the Honda drag racing community?
Please go back to your hole.

Re: Q16 and COLD weather.....questions
Good stuff, I've been running 8 ID 1000's and I'm sure they are Q safe.....I think its safe to say that I should have just drained the fuel before letting the car sit for a while.....so now that the fuel is out what's the best way to unclog injectors etc...? Also I'm running a surge tank up front with dual 044's they are fed by a 255 inline.
the pumps are all brand new
thanks for all the comments....very entertaining to say the least

Or maybe you shouldnt share your lack of experience and do your research before you open up your cockholster to talk about someone that evidently has more knowlegde then you.
MTBE look it up
Oh and like you know anything about what data I have.... I seem to do well "without any so called data" as you say.
