ok, I bought a 90 integra and it was working fine for awhile, then i ran into some problems.

first, my fuel pump went out. replaced that, car ran fine. then one day, i was driving on the highway for about an hour when my tach started jumping between 3000-6500 RPMs. It wasn't bugging the mechanical motion of the car any, so i didn't think anything of it. Then, all of a sudden, the tach started dipping from 3000 to 0-1000 RPMs and it the car started stalling and even once died in the middle of the highway. I had to get a friend to come get me from an hour away. Any answers?

also, when I turn my AC on, my car will sometimes die what's up with that?

 

try replacing your ignitor in the distributor, should fix the problem of the bouncing tach
