Default Problems with ls/vtec.

Ok, I have been trying to figure this out for about two months. My car starts, sometimes, but will cut off if I don't hit the gas right after starting. Then, it idles fine and will run.

However, sometimes it won't start, it just turns over and... nothing. Then I wait for an hour, try again and it cranks.

Also, when driving if I go to stop and let the car go below 3000rpm without shifting to nuetral the check engine light comes on. Then I cut the car off and, if it restarts, the check engine light is gone and no codes are being thrown on the ecu.

I know I am getting spark and fuel to the injectors, but if one injector is flowing bad will this happen? I ask because when I replaced my intake manifold I saw that one looked a little more worn than the others, I am going to try to replace them within the next month.

Last thing, this didn't start happening until 2 months ago, no mods have been done for atleast 8 months (changing to the skunk2 mani) and neither has any hard driving (haven't been to the track. Also, the plugs look great, just normal wear.

And thanks to the dip I bought this from, I have already had to replace the underdash harness, take off the body kit (no bumber braces so it hangs) and had a wonderful time putting the right head gasket on all because you wouldn't spend the extra $200 dollars to have the B17 rebuilt.

What ECU are you running? LS/VTEC setups need to be wired for vtec via a compatible chipped ecu for tuning purposes.

I don't know alot about the setup, but my vtec was working fine until 2 months ago. The ECU is a P64 I believe, the guy did't give me any info on the setup so I'm not sure if it is chipped. However, the vtec was kicking in and you could feel the extra pull, not just hear it. I am planning on getting new injectors, so do you think I need to get a modified P28 (modified for DOHC) ?

Also, what chips do you think work well. I was going to go ahead and go with the Hondata s300, but don't see a point since I probably won't do anything else to the car except maybe some minor head work.

Thanks for your help.
