Default PROBLEMS WITH DETONATION

okay so i got a b20b into my 1990 ls it has a skunk 2 intake and b16 trans
my question is what can i do to stop my car from detonating so much i tried everything .... im going to check my dizzy and spark plugs tommorow but what can it be i have no cels ?? it has no tunning since its not heavily modified or anything close to it

Any one? Do I really need tunning ? Everything seems to be in place working fine just problems when I decelerate or ilde it detonates or seems to sound like it misses what do u guys think ? Any advice would help thanks

i would get tuning, on my b20v-tec i cracked a sleve with out tuining

Try a higher octane gas. Not the proper solution by any means though.

sounds like something else to me.
no detonation when decelerating, ecu cuts gas supply.

whats your base timing set at?

the ecu is stock so i would say stock base timing

and it does detonate when decelerating and at idle

no stock base timing meaning the distributor
when you let off the gas the ecu cuts fuel
No fuel = no detonation

something else is wrong of something is happening when deaccelerating.

maybe do i need new dizzy cap or rotor maybe plugs ??? or should i check for proper tdc?? i have an autozone dizzy
