problem.....
heres a little story behind the problem
my car was broken into and my entire system was stolen. they then cut one of the wires from my alarm so it would stop going off. so i then park my car since i dont really need it being a college student. It was parked for a week and i come back and trhe battery is dead. about two hours ago i finally jumped it after about two weeks of sitting in the same place ( i live in Tempe AZ and its like 103 mid day!). it started up but there was some nonsense going on with my clutch pedal. it feels limp for only about half way and then its fine after that. also i cant put my car into any gears. Anybody have any ideas. im not good with the whole clutch/ tranny ordeal therefore i come to you guys.
if this helps, before i moved from flagstaff my clutch was kinda squeaking and i needed to grease but never got around to it

The last time my clutch was doing something similar to what you've described, I broke a spring in the clutch disc and could not get it into gear. I had to force it with all my might to even try. When you start the car, if you leave it in neurtal and slowly engage and disengage the clutch, do you hear any rattling or suspicious noises from the transmission case?
i will go try that real quick thanks man, but one of the reasons im so stumped, is because i was driving my car around and there wasnt and problems with the clutch, it felt normal and after i parked it, now this problem happend....
no i didnt hear anything unusual. also my clutch pedal will gets stuck half ways where it begins to feel normal...... i have to lift it back up with my foot for it to get unstuck and back to its usuall place

my thoughts exactly, but one thing to consider is fluid just doesnt disappear (well clutch fluid can since its hydroscopic but whatever), you may want to see if there is a tear in your clutch line that could have been caused when they cut that alarm wire?

It could also just be leaking, as mine is doing. Check the floorboard under the clutch pedal for any residue. If there's no fluid in the system, the clutch won't disengage and you can't shift gears. If it's very low and there is air in the lines, then the engagement point and pedal feel will be all screwed up, as you described.
If you find residue on the floorboard, then you'll need to replace the clutch master cylinder.

why not the slave cylinder?

I use Valvoline Synpower DOT 3/4 brake fluid for both brakes and clutch. Yes the clutch takes the same fluid that the brake system uses (since both are hydraulic ya know).
