plz help
what i have is a built ls turbo its has a sleeved block 84mm pistons and a 95mm crank.built head all crower.oh and a GT3076R turbo.well i got it tuned wit like 20 miles on it and it did awsome on the dyno tuned it to 20lbs pump gas only.well i drove it for about 300 miles taking it easy then one day i boosted it a lil about 15lbs and it blew the head gasket in number one.ok then we took the head off and some of the studs were not as tight as they were "arp" when we torqued it down.well we found and could see where it blew so i bought a new gasket and figured it was the wrench.well i got 1200 oon the gasket and boosted a few times no probs well then i took it through the whole gear and it puuled nice at 15 lbs.well on the way home i relized it sounded like it wasn't running on all four so i starting pulling plug wires and it did nothing in number one.i pulled the plug and seen ripples and said **** and went to bed.next morning relized it wasnt much in tthe cylinder like before so i did a compression test and its holds 170 cold idk im confused as **** any input would help.i have a sick *** car and can't enjoy it.and i re torqued the head to 80 yesterday to c if thaqt helps and relized the outside corner studs are very tight and dunno how they got that tight
Its kinda hard to follow what your trying to say.. And you lack just a little info. You say it sounds like its not running on all four cylinders, so does it sound that way or perform that way as well? What exactly is the car doing? That would probably help you recieve a good answer..
btw, what do you mean when you say that you saw ripples?

well it was not running on all four number one was not fireing.it looked like there was water or some kinda liquid in number one.and it ran fine just didnt sound right
That is very difficult to follow. If you are asking for help it's your responsibility to state yourself more clearly than that.
Edit: is it coolant that you are seeing in no. 1?

for real.. did you bolt the head back on right? did you UNBOLT the head right? i mean, aluminum is not forgiving.. if you just plopped the head off and plopped it back on, then you may not have sealed it right, and possibly sealed that heads fate at the machine shop.. lol

yes the head was taken off right and put on right and i donno what fluid was in number one i also think the head might be warped i torque the head to 80 and im goin to try it tonite and see how it does but the corner studs seem to have gotten tighter since we originaly torqued them u guys ever heard or that
Check to see if the head AND the block deck are straight. When you torque the head down with ARP bolts you need to use the ARP lube for torque accuracy. You are also supposed to re-torque the bolts after the first start-up.
If you keep blowing the head gasket in the same spot something is probably warped. Next time I would suggest a mild tune for the first 500 miles so you can break in the engine, then tune it to boost higher and start beating on it.

did you oil the bolts before torquing them? did you torque them, not only in sequence, but in 3 steps? like, you said you torqued to 80, which means you should have torqued 3 times
1 - 20
2 - 50
3 - 80
Did you do it like that? ALWAYS lube the bolts when doing this, otherwise you will get erroneous torque readings... that is how i have always done it..
