Default Please identify this Switch/sensor !!!

Guys,

I'm trying to search for the name of this switch ..the one I'm pointing with screw driver. As you can see it is next to the little one coolant temp sensor . Can anyone help ? I don't think it is an oil pressure switch . When I unplugged that there were two terminals inside . Again , I have 00 Tegg GS 2drs ( stock motor / manual )

So I guess the one replaced in the back of the block next to the oil filter is the oil sending unit and my GS doesn't have the oil pressure switch then ?

B_swapped is right. One on the side odnthe head is for guage signal. Thenothernone by the thermostat housing is an ECU ground. Check the ground net to it for corrosion.

Ok let me just summarize it ...we have 3 switches/sensors for coolant system ? One is called thermo fan switch located on thermostat housing , second is the little/skinny one called coolant temp sensor and the 3rd one would be the sending unit which I'm looking for from my pic shown above ???? Can anyone confirm ? Please use the exact terms or words ...

1st correct
2nd, nope "dash sending unit" is the little single wire black one
3rd is what your screwdriver is pointing to in the pic and is known as the ECT sensor.

OK !!! Back to the oil sensor/switch . I already replaced the one in the back of the block next to the oil filter ...I'm calling that one " Oil Sending unit " correct ? And where is my oil pressure switch ?

The sensor near the oil filter is an oil pressure switch for the idiot light in the dash. There is no oil pressure sender because these cars do not have an oil pressure gauge.

The thing you're pointing to in the pic has nothing to do with oil...just sayin.
