ok im going to be running my 4dr gs-r at the track pretty soon and i need some help...
my car has intake ,header, i need to get alittle more power out of my car b4 i run it im going to do a whole tune up on it b4 i run the car ....... my friend is going to advance the timing on it and he says u can hook ur vtec up to a switch is that safe ......... what should i lower my tire pressure to i have nittos 205/50/15 nt 450s
what other ideas can u guys give me to make my car just a bit faster

Hook VTEC to a switch? Stupid. You would need to have some sort of datalogging/dynotime to notice if changing your VTEC point would have a positive/negative effect...as for an "on/off" switch...that aint workin.

Remove your AC & PS if you dont mind, do as much weight reduction as possible, route cold air to your intake, etc. Youre not going to do much, but I guess every little bit counts.

The best thing would be to practice your launching and weight reduction.... if your friend says he can hook your VTEC up to a switch, i would tell him to stay the hell away from my car bc he doesnt know what he is talking about.
