Default Plastic

This is probably going to sound like a pretty dumb question....

I'm having a lot of problems with the black plastic that extends from underneath my front bumper back under the motor. It seems that someone fiddled with it at some point, and now it hangs down lower than it should and scrapes the ground. Is there any reason why this plastic shouldn't be removed? I would like to remove the plastic in my wheel wells as well...Any comments?

I removed mine about 1 year ago, no big deal. The only thing is that the plastic stuff all around the bottom prevents all that dirt and grime from going up into ur wheel wells and engine bay.

That's what I figured. Didn't seem like it would cause a problem, except for keeping it clean and all...

true that, I have to clean my engine bay more often now, but it's all good.

all the plastic and fender rubber lining in the front have been taken off and i dont see any noticable difference in my engine bay being dirty. ive seen people with completely stock cars with dirty engine bays... so it all depends.
