there are 2 plastic fastener things snapped onto the back of the H. you can reach them from the engine bay, but it's easier to just take off the grill and bumper assembly. then use a credit card or razor to separate the H from the black plastic - there's just some glue in between, comes off easily, and remove the plastic fasteners from the back. voila!

Well that is not quite right, I removed mine like 2 weeks ago, and there is no glue there, just the 2 clips.

Fastest way to take the off if you don't care about put it back there later is to open the hood, use a flat screwdriver and break the 2 plastic pins and it will fell off. You will have to glue it back there tho if you want to put it back.

Wisest way to take it off would be to take off the front bumper, and carefully remove the fasteners, so you won't damage it.

ok, maybe there's no glue. there is on the rear emblem. and i broke the pins on mine as well, doing it the fast way. i wouldn't bother just taking off the emblem tho. i got sick of that look after a while and just cut out the whole black part and ziptied in some black mesh (available at Home Depot for $5- enough to make 30 grilles probably )
