Default removing plastic splash shield

are there any negative aspects about removing the splash shield underneath the car? im referring to the plastic you can sometimes see under the car that looks to be sagging down. i also noticed a lot of you take them off. whenever i see engine bay pics, i can see the floor if you look down thru the bay in front of the headers. on mine, you see that splash shield. so, will it harm anything if water does splash up in there if i remove it? or what about going thru a deep puddle? it probably cuts down on dust in the engine bay, but just wondering if its ok to take it off. most of you do anyway.

Leave it on or prepare to clean all the time.

I dont know what you guys drive threw but I took mine
off and dont have a problem. I live down a long gravel
driveway and it stays clean up there. If you realy dont
like it take it off. Dont forget how it goes on in case you
hate not having it.

There can be some aero dynamic aspects to it. It will cause some disturbance under the car. Not much but you can feel it!

Just try it with and with out and see if you like it. I currently have mine off right now but I am putting it back on.
