pistons
ok if i were to bore out my block b18a and put higher comp pistons in how do i no how much valve clearance i have left so i can put some cams in to. or should i get the cams first then the pistons? also what stock pistons have the highest compression ratio that i would be able to throw in. I found these pistons of this site:
http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...10008
but i dont no what compression ratio they are, they seems like a good deal tho, but i dunno if they'll fit on my connecting rods either. please help me out. thanks
ps: anyone on this site live in hamilton ontario?

u know... u can just take ur car to an experienced builder and they can do the work for u. as far as those pistons u found, the link doesn't work but it's from hmotors so i'm guessing they're the type r pistons. type R have comression ratio of 11:1. thats they highest CR u can get out of a production b18. u can go pretty high tho. u could probably buy 13.5:1 but u would have to run on race fuel. anyway, that's all the answers i have. but do a little more research and stuff, if u bore ur block u can't put in 1.8 liter pistons. heres a good page for u to use in the future:

so what that articl is telling me is: if i want to throw in higer comp pistons like 12.5:1 then ill have to put it on a dyno to tune the air fuel mixture, change my injectors.etc.????????? is this true guys?
1. PCT pistons have the largest dome of any factory B series piston.
2. Static compression ratio will vary based on chamber volume and other factors.
3. The only way to know for sure that their is no valve to piston interference is to clay the motor.
4. Yes, if you increase your compression ratio, you will have to tune your car.
5. I don't know what pistons you are looking at, because the link doesn't work.
6. I don't know if they will fit your rods, because even if the link worked, you didn't tell me what engine is in your integra.
