Painting side lower moldings

Painting side lower moldings
Is this something I can do myself or should I inlist the help of a professional? Any tips or suggestions would be beneficial too. Thanks,

my buddy painted his molding on the crx and it was fine on the sides, but in the front, since rocks and stuff hit it, it got scrached up and started flaking off, if u do it yourself put some time into it and GET GOOD PAINT, it will pay off. good luck

yeah, the moldings on my GSR were all painted when i got the car. Since the car was black already, most people could tell. To tell you the truth, it chips and the chipping would look bad on say, a red or white car. I guess if they got the right amount of flex in the paint it would be ok, but with it being so close to the ground, you know it's going to get chipped/scratched anyway.
