Default Paint Problem... Help!

Hey, I just bought myself a new integra... well new for me. It's a 96, and it had a lot of oxidation on it, which I've hand buffed off (over several days) using turtle wax polishing compound. That stuff worked well on my last car, a 90 Celica, but on the integra, i ended up with a lot more sratching and swirling.

So now that I messed up, what's the best way to remove swirl-marks? I heard there are liquid polishers with really fine granilarity, and that it is good to use an electric buffer rather than hadn buffing. Any brands that you guys recommend?

seriously just go for a paint job... do the primer and sandin ur self and just get someplace to paint it for u... macco apparently knows how to paint not primer or sand u could try them...

and 1 thing i used that works ... that i am sad to say that i even used is ... armor all on the paint it worked perfectly fine for me... did it like 5-10 times... it MAY hav a side affect u might want to just try it on a little spot... from wat i saw on my paint it didnt do **** except make the color come back leave a slightly oily residue (there were little tiny spots still left but it was aite... and it wears off when u wax and wash though stays for everything else)... but like 1 month ago the car was hit when it was parked and totalled so i dotn worry about oxidation anymore

those other products r seriously just plain **** dont bother ...

Try a claybar, I've heard they do wonders. Also if you have the extra $$ you could just pay to get it detailed, they'll do a better job than you can most likely, only cost a little more than a buffer and supplies, and don't just clean the paint, they get the engine bay, and interior too.

no... the paints not bad enough to get it repainted or detailed. I can clean the enginer bay and interior myself.

So, besides armor-all and clay-bar, are there any other products you recommend? Come on guys, I've got a swirly car, and I need some advice.

well since it sounds like you have some swirling or micro marring in your clear coat, you can do some of the following..

Stage1:

-wash/rinse
-clay/rinse
+now after you car's pain is fully clean, procede to the next step

Stage2:

-if you have a PC (dual-action polisher) get it ready with a fine black cutting pad
-get some 3m Swirl Remover and work it into the paint until its almost all gone
+(hint) when using abrasives always start with the lightest possible, b/c you can always go too light, but when you go to heavy boom time for new paint!!
-after polishing/compounding go to the next stage..

Stage3:

-get some Poorboys/Wolfgang/Klasse paint sealant glaze and apply this by hand let dry (this will seal you paint and protect it from harsh everyday elements)
-then buff off with a micro fiber towel
-you can also top it off with a coat of carnubba p21s for a wet look

this is just a simple formula off the top of my head.. next time try searching and read the stickies in the Appearance/Cosmetic forum about detailing!! Also talk to StyleTEG on here, i learned a lot from reading his intenses posts on detailing products/methods.. another site to look into is autopia.com for car paint care/protection

obviously you know nothing about paint or its characteristics.. Maco is trash regardless if you prep yourself.. even the best paint preper in the world would not take his car to macco b/c of the time/effort he put into prepping (which is all the work) to have his car mutilated with raunchy quality paint and poor craftsmanship!!
