Default OBD HELP PLEASE!!!

Hi,

I recently put a b18b1 into my 95 dc2

the car starts up and runs but idles a little funny and sometimes bogs out.

I am running a p75 obdI

I think my 02 sensor is bad and there is a crack in the headers.

I was wondering what could cause the funny idle and bogging out.

also my tach doesnt work and I have two plugs that dont seem to fit anywhere

do I need to change my ecu and get a jumper harness?

please help

thanks

Why is this OBD related? You put an OBDI engine with an OBDI ECU into an OBDI car.

Snap pictures of the plugs that you can't figure out and fix your exhaust leak. A big exhaust leak will usually throw a code for O2 Heater.

Edit: Is it a DC2 or did you just pull that chassis code out of your ***? If it's a DC2, the two extra plugs are probably for VTEC.

yeah I guess I did pull it out of my ***...

its a 95 RS

someone told me the b18b1 was obd2... so I'm confused.

the car had a b20b jdm which I am also the impression is obdII

the dizzy wires were all spliced up... I thought this had to do with the OBD difference

If I hook up the dizzy that the b18b1 came with it does not start. these wires are not cut.

but when I hook up the b20 dizzy with the spliced wires it starts...

I am so lost with the obd stuff. i thought it was obdii cause it worked with the old dizzy

one reason it idles funny could be that tube coming off the intake that doesnt have a vacuum hose to the manifold or it isnt capped off

if all the hoses are hooked up then i would just take a vacuum cap and cap it off.

hmmm... then i wouldnt really suspect a vacuum leak to be honest.

when the motors warm and its not doing it anymore, lightly sprak carb cleaner around.

i know it sounds dumb but its an easy way to find vacuum leaks. but it sounds more like your iac valve since its bogging out

cool, thanks for the help

I'll plug the hose and get some new headers, if that doesnt work i'll go get a new iac and o2 sensor

That hose doesn't do anything as far as idling goes, it's the one that connects to the valve cover.

i'm pretty sure the car was manual from the start

I know the b18b was originally hooked up to an automatic trans and I used its engine harness.

should I switch it with the b20 engine harness?
