NOSSSS!!!!
hay all you nitrous fanatics........quick question......how do you make a reliable setup with NOS on a b20b? i was looking around and Nitrous is really CHEAP!? its like $350 for a kit.......how reliable would a decent shot be? is it extremely bad for the motor? is it bad for the injectors/cylinders/valves/all dat ?? i wanted to go b20vtec......but now i dont want to rebuild with new rods and bearings......

Re: (g0tgot)
You want to make sure you get a wet kit. A wet kit adds fuel along with n2o. That way you dont need to tune it and you wont need bigger injectors you will just need the nitrous kit. I know people the run nitrous every weekend at the track on motors with just bolt ons and there cars run fine. I think nitrous is a good investment and well worth the money. With your b20 I would go with a 50-75 shot.

waht determines the shot? is that a HP rating or like 50CC's of fluid? ......and how does the nos engage? I have heard of people hitting the nos button at IDLE and blowin da motor....any safety precautions?

NOS is a brand name, sometimes referred to as NAWWWSSSS because of that notorious movie
Some brands have a manual switch that you have to hit while racing (on the track, using nitrous on the street is ghey). Other brands have a little switch that you attach to your throttle body that the throttle rotor hits when it's wide open. That way it only sprays when you're at wide-open throttle, and no other time, so you're less likely to harm the engine.

A micro switch. We have one on our 10 sec Ranger.

When using a wet kit, since it's dumping more fuel as well as the nitrous, you want to be higher up in the RPM range. If your not, you risk of the engine choking on too much fuel and backfiring. I dunno what the outcome would be with a small shot (50 hp or so) but on the larger kits, you get to see what a piston does to your IM when they collide and a couple hundred MPH
I've witnessed a couple of these and it's very cool to watch... Not cool to experience.

You may want to sleeve your B20 as they have the weakest sleeves of Honda motors. The safest way to do nitrous would be do get a good EMS. That way, it engages the nitrous, and you are worry free. Why would someone engage it at idle?

yikes.. that sux *****. Don't forget to figure in the octane booster (or just regular 91+) and how much Nitrous costs to fill the bottle before you say it's cheap!

She would have been dumped instantly and I probably would have punched her in the face.
