Default Need new 02 sensor

Took my car to the acura dealership to check up on my code 45 system too rich or lean problem. Said possibly 02 sensor but they want 229 CDN plus 41 bux CDn for install. Is it worth it or should I buy my own and install? If I should buy my own and install wheres the best place to buy an 02 sensor?? Also, after I took a visit to the dealership my check engine light doesnt show up anymore, is it because they disconnected it until they get it fixed or what? Also, they are saying to replace fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator as theyre both aftermarket...should I ? Any help would be cool. Thanks

go to a auto parts store and buy a 02 sensor. universal ones (you will need to splice wires so it fits into the existing plug) go for about $30-40.
a direct fit, goes for about $80-120. depending where you go, and this is for bosch products.
you can also buy a fuel filter and change it your self, they are like $10.
this is all US $.

I had to buy mine at the Acura Dealership also. Expensive little things. They are easy to install providing your old one is not seized in which is what happened to mine. I ended up replacing my header at the same time because there was nothing that i could do.

Ouch. You bought the header from the dealership-
What sucks even more is that just a little piece of metal with 4 wires costs more than a hundred bucks. Damn 02 sensors.

No.. I only bought the O2 Sensor from the dealership. I bought a DC 4-2-1 Ceramic Header from the local import shop.

you dont have to go to the delership, but if you get BOSCH or anything else its gonna be a POS!!!! only get Denso o2 sensors. you can get them at the dealership or any rep parts store. I sell them @ work

All of thses are verry easy to install your self. Granted the o2 sensor is kinda hard to reach with the heat shield etc. but not impossible. and the fule filter is seriously a 5 min job. the dealership will chage 1/2 hr for that. diy
