ive got a 01 gsr rebuilt over a year ago and i let it sit, i have a problem with it flooding every time i rev it will choke down and die but will idle fine. i have changed the tps the map senser and the idle air control valve. the code that shows is a (p1298 manufacturer controled fuel air mixture) if any one knows anything please help

 

do you know if you're getting the right fuel pressure?

 

i do have a adjustible fuel presure reg. and i tryed it at 20 psi and at 60psi at idle and eather way it still does it

 

is your ignition in good working order?

 

it was perfect and it seams to be still workin

I would test the distributor. There is an article somewhere on T-I.net

 

yeah i had the same issue when i did a swap on my friends car,, i checked everything and turned out to be a loose cable on the dizzy ,,, all after i changed ecu,checked all wiring except the dizzy,, good luck mang those are hard to diagnose,, cause it could be anything,,,,from an injector to valves,valves springs ect.

 

i took the plugs out and it is flooding bad. and the new codes are (p1399 ignition system or misfire) and (p0141 o2 sensor missing) and (p1298 manuifactur controled fuel/ air metering) and a high input map
