Ok i have a 2000 Integra GS-R bone stock no mods. the car came up with the fallowing codes


p0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold

p1259 Vtec Malfuaction

I know the first one can be due to a bad cat.. but my question is would a bad cat make the other code come up? or is it two different problems? what do you guys recomend i should do? check the whole vtec system ? or just replace the cat and see if both codes go away?
