Need help big time?
This is my problem, like 2 months ago I bent a valve in my car which has about 25,000 miles so A friend and me removed the head And I sent it to a machine shop, I the person at the meachine shop which is a friend of mine removed the bent valves and replace them with ferral vales crower springs and crower retainers and put new valesguides (So he says) Here is the problem which I am having we put the head back in the car it has my power what's so ever white smoke is coming out the evhaust( the car smokes up the hole block) and it sounds like ****.
The person at the meachine shop told me that I need a valve jod cause the valvae are to tight that what was causeing all the problems once I had that done same problem, Then he told my that My timing was off. I don't how what else to do?

Yeah I changed it, I I also thought it was the headgasket, But It's not that. And the head was machined, I also thought that the head was worpt but that has is like new, Well can I do a compression test even tought the timing is wrong..

incorrect timing will not make your car smoke.
i guess its wrong at the timing belt. you should really get that adjusted properly if its not correct.
take the spark plugs out, whats on the spark plugs?
if your burning coolant, then either there is a crack in the block or your headgasket is bad.
if your burning oil, your valve seats could be bad, you sound like your unsure whether the mechanic changed them or not.
make sure the timing is 100%, then do a compression test to see whats going on. something isnt right.

Re: Need help big time? (IVI)
Well when the car is on it smells like antifreeze, well I pretty sure it's not the block because before We removed the head the ran fine and still had power, The meaching shop called me and told me that I had one slightly bent valve that's when I decided to change everything once I recieved it and installed it my car never ran the same again. can I do the timing myself? Can I just do a compression test as is? and if I remove the spark plugs what am I looking for oil on the plug what?

Mabey the head gasket didn't seat right or somthing. White smoke = head gasket Its not a hard job get a new head gasket and some new head bolts and try it. If its not that either your block is cracked or it was'nt machined properly.

I called my local shop and they told me something like that one of my valves has a split in it. I never heard of these before.
