aight my car has a built in 2step at 4k or 4500 dont remeber which .. but when its in neutral it wont rev past that .. but my problem is sometimes when i start my car the CEL comes on and wants to act like its in neutral i can drive the car but it wont go past the 2step ... i tried to jump the little 2prong connector with the black and brown white strip wires .. with a piece of wire just looped it around but it isnt working .. idk if im doing it correct or not .. but is there any other way to check the codes for my 95 integra ls .... could i just take it to a mechanic and they have somethign to plug in it or do they have to do the same thing ... cause advance and everyone only has a obd2 reader 96+ ... should i try using a paper clip or what .. because i really need to fix this problem asap .. and idk what might would cause it to do this .. unless maybe it has something to do with the ignition or something .. so please help me .....

 

or would it maybe be a ecu problem .. because sometimes when i cut the car off when the light comes on the light will go off and not come back on .. i just need help with this asap ... also there is 2 plug behind my iacv one plugs into the iacv and the other is just hanging there but looks exactly like the one that plugs into the iacv .. i havent tried to unplug and switch them out but i cant find anythign for it to plug into that it will reach so i would also like to know what that might be for ... i will try to get some pics when i can ... but if anyone could post a top view of there motor and a picture of around the iacv i would appreciate it alot .. thanks ... i couldnt find any when i searched on here or google..

already read that .. and when i stick a piece of wire in that plug and turn the key it does nothing .. check engine lights just stays on .. doesnt flash or anything and neither does the abs light .. so thats not helping ...

 

then you have no CEL code..check your wiring

 

Sounds like the ecu is in safe mode

 

i dont understand why it would come on and stay on if i didnt have any codes ... and how would i go about getting it out of safe mode .... i mean sometimes cutting the car off works and sometimes it doesnt come on at all ... so idk what to do .. im gonna stop by a mechanic today and see what he can figure out for me .. should i start by trying a diff. ecu to see if that works .. cause i was told since mine has been messed with and set the 2step at 4-4500 then someone might of messed up the ecu when doing that and that could be why it runs like that sometimes ... idk its just bothering me bad cause its my only car and i work everyday and i dont like driving it like this cause i dont want anything else to mess up .....

 

aight i figured out it seems liek it only does this when the car is below half a tank .. because when i fill it up the check engine light goes off .. any suggestions about that

 

fixed it .. i took the case off the ecu because i figured if it had a built in 2step then it had to be chipped .. and i was right it had a little bity red plug on 2 prongs.. i took it off and boom CEL went off and drives like normal
