Need GSR help!! Engine may be seized..
a buddy of my cousin recently had his gsr broken into and they tried to steal it, but he disconnected his distributor harnesses, so they weren't able to take it.. but now the engine seems to be seized up and wont crank at all... everytime we try to turn it over, all we hear is the starter clicking.. I am certain that the motor is seized becasue I tried to turn it manually at the crank pulley w/ no sucess..
my question is, how could the bastards have seized up the motor w/o even getting the engine started?? my brother inlaw who is an acura mechanic looked it at today, and he thinks it has bent valves.. but I am stumped and still think its something else.. who knows how many times they tried to turn over the engine b4 they gave up... also, is it possible to spin a bearing by cranking the engine numerous times w/o the motor not actually running since the oil pump wouldn't be supplying oil to the bearings and engine??
much help would be appreciated since I"m contemplating buying the car off of him so i can rebuild it.. thanks in advance

Even just cranking the engine, should be oiled enough to not lock up bearings. Oil pump still supplies oil, even under cranking, just not full oil pressure obviously.

Have you tried removing the spark plugs and then seeing if it turns over. Maybe hydrolocked? Don't know for sure

i'm gonna get the whole car for 2300.. its a coupe.. its too bad he's holding the car for me already though... only thing is, i have to drive 12 hrs to pick it up... argh..
that Hydrolocking does sound very much to be the culprit.. hopefully that is the case... when i last looked at it, we didn't have all the tools to remove the plugs cuz the dam thieves also stole his toolset..

but the car never left the garage.. I personally have never heard or experience a timing belt jumping before.. I also forgot to mention that the distributor key/pin was broken when he took it off for inspection.. (the prong thing that connects to the intake cam, forgot what its called..)
